Empirical Financial Intermediation network
Small workshops. Friendly atmosphere. Constructive feedback.
The EFI Network aims at bringing together researchers with an interest in empirical financial intermediation.
We organize workshops with a limited number of promising papers, during which we provide ample time for each paper. We aim for a lively discussion and thus prioritize high quality papers that can still benefit from feedback, invite dedicated discussants, and leave room for an engaging Q&A with the floor.
We intend to put together programs with a balanced mix of seniority, so we also encourage submissions from assistant professors (or even job market candidates).
The meetings are jointly organized by Olivier De Jonghe, Mike Mariathasan, and Klaas Mulier. They take place in Brussels on the last Friday of each April and November.
Invited Talks
We have been very fortunate to have had established researchers give inspiring keynotes during previous meetings. Invited talks (in chronological order) have been given by Wolf Wagner, Hans Degryse, Thorsten Beck, Michael Koetter, Kasper Roszbach, Vasso Ioannidou, Robert Marquez, Sascha Steffen, Neeltje Van Horen, Enrico Sette.
If you wish to receive the call for papers for upcoming events or simply wish to attend a future meeting, you can subscribe to the network's mailing list by clicking the button below.
